EMT personnel

Tom O'Brien B.E., M.I.E.E., founder and Engineering Director of ElectroMagnetic Technologies Ltd., has over thirty years experience working in the electronics industry. This experience has been gained through organisations as diverse as the British Post Office, Radio Telefis Eireann and Apple Computer Ltd.

Tom set up his own consultancy business in 2001. ElectroMagnetic Technologies has since built up a wide client base from Ireland, Europe, the USA and Japan.

Tom is a member of the Irish National Technical Committee (TC16) which examines proposed European standards and advises on their relevance to Ireland in the area of Electromagnetic Compatibility, and is also a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (now the IET).

Philomena Hendrick, B.A., Commercial Director of ElectroMagnetic Technologies, joined EMT in 2002, since when the Company has grown steadily to treble the turnover of its early years.

As well as administrating the business, acquiring grants and developing the quality system to achieve Approved Laboratory status with the international approvals company TUV International, Philomena has specialised in general compliance issues, in particular in the area of standards and laws relating to the RF/EMC area. She works in tandem with, and as the standards and RF/EMC specialist on the legal data team for our client Compliance and Risks, using their web-based compliance knowledge management software C2P (Compliance-to-Product).

Philomena is also a member of the Irish National Technical Committees, TC16 for EMC (see above) and TC15 for Human Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields.
